The Residential Security Assistant will travel to and from the residences of the Embassy's housing pool on a daily basis.

Duties

As the Residential Security Technician (m/f/d), you will manage the technical aspects of the Residential Security Program including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting all residential security countermeasures and conducting security surveys for buildings. You will also assist in developing and monitoring funding/budgets, ordering material and equipment, tracking inventory, liaising with other sections to ensure that all buildings meet security standards, maintaining security database, approving minor security upgrades, recommending major upgrades and installations.  You will use power tools, cameras, and electronic equipment. 


Als Sicherheitstechniker/in (m/w/d) verwalten Sie die technischen Aspekte des Residential Security Programmes, führen Installation, Wartung und Fehlerbehebung bei Wohn- und Dienstgebäuden durch. Sie helfen auch bei der Entwicklung und Einhaltung von Budgets und Finanzplänen, der Bestellung von Materialien und Ausrüstung, Inventur, arbeiten mit anderen Fachabteilungen zusammen um sicher zu stellen, dass alle Gebäudesicherheitsstandards eingehalten werden. Sie pflegen relevante Datenbanken, erarbeiten kleinere Sicherheitsupgrades sowie an der Empfehlung größerer Upgrades und Installationen. Sie verwenden bei Ihren Arbeiten Elektrowerkzeuge, Kameras und elektronische Geräte.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

Two (2) years of professional experience in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electronic (security-) equipment is required.


Zwei (2) Jahre Berufserfahrung in der Installation, Reparatur und Wartung von elektronischen (Sicherheits-) Geräten sind erforderlich.
Education Requirements:

Completion of secondary school or local equivalency (German/EU: state school leaving certificate, America: American High School Diploma or GED) is required.
