Duties

The Human Resources Clerk is responsible for processing all modifications to locally employed staff (LE Staff) personnel data and records, administering the employment agreements between staff and the US Mission, assisting with the performance management program, and is responsible for maintaining the Official Personnel Folders (OPFs). S/he is supervised by the Human Resources Specialist.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: Two years of experience in a commercial work area is required.


JOB KNOWLEDGE:  A good knowledge of general business practices is required. 

Education Requirements:

Completion of secondary education (German: school leaving certificate; US: high school or GED) and two years of post-secondary education or German equivalent is required.

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE:  Good working knowledge English and German language skills - speaking/reading/writing - are required.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 


- Skilled use of Microsoft Office applications (MS word, Excel, Outlook) is required.
- Expert skills in working with databases is required.
- Very good organization skills and accuracy is required.
- Excellent Customer service and interpersonal skills are required.


This may be tested.

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Germany may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.


For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.


The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
